Register your CV

Having a Curriculum Vitae or CV is not essential if you are looking for a job in construction. However, recording your training and experience helps you sell yourself to anyone looking for the skills you have.

You wouldn’t try and sell a car without writing down some important features that presents it in the best possible light to attract a potential buyer and that’s all a CV is.

It’s a selling tool; it’s selling you to a potential employer, it gives you an opportunity to present yourself in the best possible light.

And as you are far more important than any car it’s worth spending some time getting it right.

There are no right or wrong ways to write a CV but it is important to keep it factual and well laid out with no spelling mistakes. Ask someone you know to read through your CV when you have finished it and give you some constructive criticism and act on it, put yourself in the place of somebody recruiting your skills and ask yourself  'would you employ me'.

If you have written a CV attach it to an email and send it to us at info@gainfulemployment.co.uk
